I’ve always been keenly aware of the power of putting the right message in front of the right person at the right time.
Building on these natural tendencies and following a formal education in marketing and communications at Bentley University, my professional experience has run the gamut from inside sales, product marketing, merchandising, copy writing, direct marketing, journalism, social media, freelance writing and public relations.
Over the course of my career, I’ve written about subjects as diverse as application development languages (XML), apple computers and telecommunications to gardening and compost, saturation and commercial diving equipment , environmental consulting services, sports injury prevention, land conservation, enterprise cloud storage solutions, real estate / finance and metal fabrication.
Suffice to say, I can come up to speed pretty quickly on basically any type of business, technology or subject.
Even when the target audience and messages may be different, the methodology (and often the result) I use is always the same – do your research, digest what you have learned, filter out the fluff and identify the key messages that your audience actually wants to hear about.
Sorry, Mr. Ziglar, but it’s not always about selling.
